Mark Reese, Licensed Acupuncturist

Mark was originally trained and holds degrees in microbiology and biochemistry. After working in cancer research he realized that his true calling lay in working to heal people more directly. From the lab he moved into social services where, among other projects, he created three alternative health clinics for people living with HIV/AIDS at Cook County Hospital, at a shelter for homeless people, and at an agency which served Latinos living with HIV/AIDS.
In the process of working with alternative medical practitioners, Mark became excited with the power of Traditional Chinese Medicine and eventually enrolled in and graduated from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine.
Mark practices at the Northside Holistic Center in Chicago and had previously worked at several integrative medical centers in the Chicago area. He is on the faculty of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and has served on the Board of Directors for the Illinois State Acupuncture Association.
